The new sculpt from Reaper arrived today and it’s a gem!

A 1/6 Orc vet­eran called The Guvna’, the kit con­sists of the main bust plus a shoulder guard and a sword hilt and scab­bard for his back. There are also two spare tusks, but I’m not sure where they go so may or may not include them.

The scuplt­ing is out­stand­ing, you can almost smell the dust of the bat­tle­field on him! Being an Orc, I really don’t want to go down the route of the typ­ical Games Work­shop green skin. Instead I want to base the paint­ing around the old RPG called Earth­dawn and plan to paint him up like an Orc Scorcher. I’ve star­ted look­ing through my ref­er­ence col­lec­tion to see if there are any suit­able pic­tures to base it on.

As it stands, I’ve added the sword and shoulder guard prior to paint­ing, using a com­bin­a­tion of CA and epoxy glue which will (hope­fully) hold the parts on. I also have a couple of 1/6 skulls which might find their way on to the base (we’ll see).
